Board of Director Nominations are extended until October 31, 2019!

The Puget Sound Chapter of GBTA is currently accepting nominations for candidates to the Board of Directors for our 2020-2022 term, and has extended the nomination period to October 31, 2019.

If you’re just looking to get your toes wet and see what being a Board Member is all about, we also have several committee, that are always looking for people, and would be a great way to give back to the organization, without the full commitment of being an elected Board Member.  Here is the list of committees, and a brief description of each.  More detailed information may be found at this link.


◘ Communications – assists in updating information to the chapter, including email and social media

◘ Corporate Social Responsibility – assists in bringing awareness, education and action to Social Responsibility issues of concern to the Chapter

◘ Education & Scholarship – assists Speakers committee to discover and develop educational content for the chapter.  Also administers the Chapter and GBTA scholarship program

◘ Gala – creates and controls the annual fund raising effort

◘ Government/GBTA-PAC – works with GBTA to bring legislative and political action information and advocacy

◘ Registration – assists with creating meeting information and helps at luncheons  

◘ Sponsorship – assists in securing sponsorships for various events and business operations

◘ Speakers – assists in securing speakers for events throughout the year

◘ Technology – assists the team in making sure our technology is up to date, and maintains cool tech stuff

◘ Venues – assists in venue selection and negotiations for events throughout the year

◘ Volunteer – assists in recruiting members to make sure events and functionality runs smoothly
